Photomontages
The proposed wind farm has been assessed from a number of viewpoints. These locations are illustrated on the map below. Viewpoints 1 to 15 have been used in the assessment of the effect of the proposal on the landscape. Viewpoints A and B have been used to assess the impact of the proposal on Cultural Heritage interests.
The information provided for each viewpoint begins with an existing photograph of the view from that location. Next a computer generated 'wire frame' image is created to illustrate the position of the wind turbines in the landscape based digital terrain map data. If the wire frame image demonstrates that the wind turbines would be visible then a computer generated photomontage is prepared that shows the predicted position and appearance of the turbines from that location.
